If you've ever been to the Glorieta Conference Center in New Mexico, you know of the beautiful prayer garden. It was designed by a world renowned landscape designer from France in the 1950s and is absolutely stunning.
We walked through it each day to let the kids expend some energy.
Thanks to the timer on my camera (and some cooperative moments from all the chickens), we were able to get a family picture one gorgeous morning.
Then a nice lady happened along and offered to take a pic for us so that I didn't have to run back and forth anymore. I actually like my shot better, but don't tell her. She was so nice.
The kids each had a New Testament bible that they carried with them on our trip. It was so cute. You'll see them in some of these photos. They enjoyed taking them to the prayer garden to look up the verses that were posted on the trees.
They were thrilled to look this one up and discover they had it memorized already. It was the very first verse Miles memorized in Kindergarten this year. Ella knows it too.
I don't know why they have their feet on the tree.
Little weirdos.
Emmett went from walking cautiously with his hands held up in the air to confidently exploring all kinds of things on our trip.
Also, this was pretty much the first week of his life that he's worn shoes.
At the top of the gardens there is an amphitheater.
Miles made us sit there so he could "teach us".
He read us the Christmas story from Luke 2:8-14, aka Linus' speech from A Charlie Brown Christmas.
So thankful for the refreshing week away with these cuties!
