making time {for very important business.}

I have been cleaning and organizing like a crazy person this week.  I'm not finished, but MAJOR progress has been made.  To name a few, I can see the top of a desk I haven't uncovered in over 6 months,  my laundry is caught up (which NEVER happens),  and I have all our home videos labeled and in one drawer (they were strung out all over the place and I had to watch several of them to even know what they were!).

Britton has a busy weekend with work and while there are still chores to be done, the housework is under control.  I think I'll kick back a bit and spend time with some things that will make me very happy.

#1.

{duh.}

#2.

  {a little project for MYSELF!}

#3.

{a Christmas present that's been waiting for me...I've read, now time to bake!}

PS - I just noticed that the dust on my wood blinds is approximately 2.25" deep.  Guess I'll take care of that first...

entertaining the munchkins.

Puzzles.

Homemade cards.

Watercolors.

Markers.

And that all happened before 10am.
Good.  Grief.

morning routine {crazy hair.}

Some things about the morning routine around here are always the same.

And wee little children who emerge from their beds with crazy hair is one of them.

if it's gonna be this cold {i'm gonna need more snow.}

It's been stinkin' cold.
It's supposed to be cold in January.
But I have a philosophy that if it's going to be freezing, there needs to be snow on the ground.  It makes everything prettier and makes me happy.

Last week we had a light dusting of snow.
Miles said "It's Christmas again!!!".
And he also wanted to "go throw snowballs in the snow."
So as soon as he woke from his nap (and thankfully just before Ella woke from hers) we ran outside to check out the snow.

{Gloves.... I know.  I knew it would be a quick trip.}

After walking around the yard for about 3 minutes, Miles declared that "snow is too cold".  And we went back inside.

Winter, if you're not going to produce enough snow to build a snowman, just go ahead and move along your merry way.  We're ready to welcome SPRING!!!
