We had to have a sign on a closed gate....
It would have just been too crazy.
There were so many cute things.
Favorite quotes of the day:
"This is just like The Pioneer Woman!" - excited shopper
(what?? i wish.)
"I just need sleep." - Debbie
(That was when I walked into Miles' room and found her crashed out on the floor...Debbie has a long history of garage sale induced narcolepsy.)
"Your kitchen looks like a tornado went through." - Heather
(it was true. i mopped 3 times saturday night.)
"I've been waiting for this ALL WEEK!" - excited shopper
"Where's Miles & Ella?" - me
(I must've said this 423 times....exactly every 7 seconds all day long.)
One guy - wearing cowboy boots and hat - took 3 steps into the barn, looked around and said...
"You don't have any tack?"
{"tack" is cowboy speak for "horse stuff"...bridle, saddle, etc..}
I said...
"No. Barn Sale. It's deceiving, I know."
He snickered and left.
Look! From the garden....aren't they cute?! My one little pumpkin. And a couple of butternut squash that fell off the vine.
There was home-made, organic, jalepeno jelly. I could eat that stuff all day.
See that cutie in the apron?
My niece, Emma. She walked around all morning with a basket full of muffins she made (at 5:30 am) and gave them to shoppers. Soooooo cute!
There are still 4 million iris bulbs.
We sold a bunch, gave away a bunch, and there are still 4 million of them.
Want some?
There were shoppers from all over the place!
Shawnee, Tecumseh, Prague, Seminole, Ada, Bethany...
And these crazy girlies from Yukon....
...they were a hoot! Reminded me of me...if I had come to a Barn Sale like this one.
They bought all my favorite things....even the signs out of the yard and the fabric garland off the gate!! We told them about this weekend's city-wide garage sale.
There are 116 advertised garage sales in the newspaper.
I'm hyperventilating just thinking about where to start in the morning.
I'm pretty sure these three will have a trailer.
And I'm pretty sure I should.
Gotta re-stock for Barn Sale 2011!!
(Oh, my. I said it out-loud. Up until now, I've been too tired to commit....You heard it here first, people.)
Until then, I'm done talking about the Barn Sale for awhile. There are entirely too many garage sales for me to think about instead. The Barn Sale is sooooooooo last week!
