Easter + Britton's 40th

Easter 2019 was a very busy day!  

We started the day at Heritage, where we took our annual photo.

It's a Heritage tradition I adore!

We had a little fun with the birthday boy while we were at it and he was a good sport.  

The kids got some Easter basket treats.  Which, I have to admit, did not come with much fanfare with all the other events of the day.  They got chocolate bunnies and erasable pens.  But look how happy that made them!!

We had a light Easter lunch and then family and friends arrived for an Easter/birthday cookout.  We celebrated Britton's 40th as well as these other April birthday boys.

The last time we all got together for an April birthday celebration was 2014.  

What an awesome family we have!  Every single one of the Buss clan, Drew & Rachel & Mom, plus our friends Chris and Hannah.

 It was a glorious day of celebration from start to finish.  

Easter Morning 2016.

I love the tradition of taking photos at Heritage on Easter morning.  Here's our 2016 takes.

I drug the people around the corner from our house for some beautiful Easter Eve photos.  Sunday was cold and windy and nobody wore the same outfit as pictured.  Ha!

Those tiny little converse shoes melt me.

And so do those tiny little teeth. 

And this guy is getting to be a really big kid!  

He's got style like his Dad. 

This cutie nearly lost her marbles over wearing this dress and the headband I made to match it.  There were tears and stomps.  I don't even know why.  

But when she finally looked in the mirror, she was like, "OK, cool".  

And I was like, "I know, right!?!" 

When I asked them to put their cheeks next to Emmett's, he reached up and did this.  

Lord, thank you for your Son and the sacrifice we celebrate this and every day.

And thank you for my adorable children who let me take their pictures.
