Since we decided to do Disney for Christmas, there were a few extra, Christmasy surprises each day. Stockings filled with various goodies, and a new outfit for the day, were waiting at the foot of the bed. Not only was it fun for the kids to receive, but it made waking their tired bodies up a piece of cake.
Fun Tip: Wakeup calls at Disney resorts are the most fun ever! Tip: Even though your phone has an alarm, go ahead and get a wakeup call. When the phone rings, be sure to put it on speaker for all to hear!I collected stocking stuffers and shirts/outfits for months. Stocking stuffers came from Dollar Tree, Walls & the clearance rack at Walgreens. They cost a small fraction of what souvenirs cost in the parks. I don't think I paid more than $3 for any of the plush toys, for example. This was a fun and inexpensive way to add some extra magic.

I also thrifted new outfits from Goodwill for months in advance of our trip. None of their Disney shirts/dresses were bought "new", though some items still had new tags on them at Goodwill (score!). None cost over $5 and most were in the $2-$3 range.

Ella got a spritz of hair/body glitter each morning and loved that added bit of magic to her daily regimen.

Day 2 was spent at the Magic Kingdom.

We grabbed breakfast at Main Street Bakery, went to Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, ate lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, saw Mickey's PhilharMagic, and rode the carousel.

The comedians at the Laugh Floor used audience members to help tell the story of Monster's, Inc. Ella was selected as "Boo" and they showed her photo on the screen every time they said Boo's name (which was a lot).
