Molly & John's Wedding

Just wanted to share a few wedding pictures before I move on from our Mississippi trip.

Around 350 people gathered in a beautiful field behind a beautiful home.

The groom and his posse emerged from the trees across the field to the theme song from Lonesome Dove.

It was such a huge moment.  Everyone gasped.  So, so stinkin' cool.
I would use the term bada$$ but this is a PG blog.  So I won't.  But it was.

Beautiful Molly was escorted by her dad, my mom's brother.

Dads giving their daughters away always chokes me up.
But then, so did the groomsmen coming out of the trees to Lonesome Dove.
Clearly I'm not emotionally stable.  Good thing I brought Kleenex.

My Aunt Janet never looked more beautiful.

Sara (Molly's sister) either.

She's next up to get married.  We're hoping to be back in Mississippi for her wedding in October!

By the way, I loved the bouquets.
They looked like they could have been picked out of the field...yet still so elegant.

I should mention that I got these beautiful photos from atop the hill behind the ceremony because my precious little 2 year old started screaming from our spot on the 2nd row.  She didn't want to share the snacks I brought to keep Miles & her quiet.

We walked back down during a song at the end when everyone stood up.

The reception was just up the hill from the ceremony.

I wish I had more photos of all the food.
Steak, chicken, pork, gumbo... I was too busy chasing the nerds.

But just like everything else, the food was beautiful too.
But mostly it was just delicious.
Delicious and beautiful.

Side Note:  Molly will always be famous for declaring as a little girl, after a bite of dessert at Grandma & Grandpa's house, that it was "simply malicious".

John made those adorable little cake toppers for their wedding.
He also made the table all the cakes are sitting on!!

Vintage touches everywhere...

Did I mention how good the food was?

It was such a busy weekend we didn't get to spend much time with these girls.  But there were a few precious moments at the reception...

It rained buckets the morning of the wedding.  Molly's dress got a little muddy...

Miles and Ella were quite intrigued.  And quite concerned.
After spending a few minutes with Molly, Miles told Ella she must be a princess.
Ella then followed her around pointing up and saying "Molyee....Molyee".
She really did look like a princess!

It was a perfect wedding.
A perfect couple.
Congratulations to Molly & John!!
