KinderGardens 2011 {week 3.}

Behind again.
Maybe I'll get caught up this week and actually post my KG's linkup on Thursday like a good little participant.

We've been super busy with life this week and haven't spent much time in the garden.
We did some weeding in the beds together in small spurts throughout the week.
By the end of the week it had become very necessary to weed-eat around the beds.

This is not a very kid friendly activity.
So the kids went on a quick trip or ten around the yard with dad (on Papa Ed's borrowed 4-wheeler).

But rest assured it is a very dirty activity.
I was just the only one who got dirty.

Our sunflower seeds (randomly placed by M sometime in the last couple of weeks) are starting to poke out in the funniest places.  He's really excited.

His tomato plants are starting to take off.

So, all is well in the garden Week 3.

I said to Matthew maybe we can go visit their garden and he says maybe they can come visit ours! Lol! I can't believe you have tomatoes.

Weed-eating in a skirt?? At least you weren't wearing pumps too! Next time...;-)

Seriously. You are trimming in a skirt!? LOL! I love that first pic, it totally tells a story.

Your garden is beyond beautiful, thanks for the peek!

May I just say your are the height of garden fashion weed-eating in a little dress...seriously that is cute!

LOVE the look on his face checking out the sunflowers!

Lastly, cute hubby! Kim

LOL, that's why I wrangle the kid and let Hubby take care of the weed-eating. That, and the fact that I can't figure out how to get the weed-eater started.

Love the pics - what a great story. :)

I was reading in the "buckets and boots" book about sunflower houses - one of the activities she suggested was to measure the sunflower each week and keep track of how much it grows. That might be fun with your mammoths. :)

NOT fashion ladies....function. I jumped out of the car right after church and started weedeating before the rain cloud above our house broke open! LOL!

And we'll have to start measuring K! Great idea!

Your raised beds are soooo beautiful!

Your sunflowers are a wee bit ahead of ours. Ours just poked their little heads above the soil today. I love the idea of measuring them week to week!
