Which means I'm not sleeping so good.
I'll be glad when congestion, snot, teething and any and all other forms of sleep disruption are gone from our lives.
But I won't hold my breath for that to happen.
"People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. " - Leo J. Burke
So with that in mind, this week I've tried to keep moving in an effort to prevent the ultimate crash. When I sit still, my eyes droop.
I've done some painting, made a pillow or two and yesterday.....
yesterday, I filled my freezer with enough soups and chicken broth to last us through the rest of the winter.
And not without good help...
Miles "sorted beans" for me while I chopped veggies for our various soup recipes.
At one point he looked up at me in all seriousness with the kind of sweet smile that melts your heart..."Momma, you're the best cooker-maker I ever seen."
Then, while I was melted in a puddle on the floor, he added the "cawr-yets".
"Momma! I cookin' my beans and cawr-yets!" Oops.
I think I will forever be amazed at this person. To have cared for him when he was such a helpless newborn and to now watch him develop in personality and creativity. To see his big heart and his sense of humor...
And the best part is, this is only the beginning.

Faith, now you need to post the recipes you used to make those soups! I love the idea of freezing and making ahead... I just seem to never take the time to do it! Love your blog! :)
