Valley Rally {and Brickfest.}

I got to go on a much needed date with my husband Saturday morning.

We rode 30 miles on our bicycles at the Valley Rally in Pauls Valley.
It was awesome.

Except for a few miles when the sky looked like this...

But even the bit of rain didn't slow us down much.
And, because we're in Oklahoma, it quickly turned to this....

I tried to take a self portrait while riding...

I wasn't very good at it.

My view for most of the morning....

I let Britton set the pace and just tried to keep on his back wheel.  We averaged 16.5 mph, which isn't bad considering we've logged 15 miles between us in the last year and a half.  It felt good to be back on our bikes.

After the ride, we met back up with the kiddos and headed over to Brickfest to replenish our burned calories with foot long corn dogs and homemade ice cream.

Uncle Drew was there too.

It was a long and fun day.
The ride home was a sleepy one.
