Kinder Gardens Entry {Week 4.}

I recently came across this blog:  The Inadvertent Farmer.

Kim is hosting a fun contest through the spring and summer months that encourage getting your kiddos out in the garden.  I can't resist.  So this is my first entry in the contest.  But mostly, I'm just excited to be a part of this community of people committed to teaching their children about the joys and benefits of growing things!  I know several of you crazy friends of mine are doing the same thing....so join in on the fun!

Prior to knowing about the contest, I had already begun to post the progress of our gardens.  If you've missed out on any of that and want to catch up, here are the links to those posts.

This week...

::  There are teeny tiny tomatoes to check on.

::  And lessons on why "it's not ready".

::  Miles planted some sunflower seeds along the back fence of the vegetable garden.

::  And he's so excited to water everything each day.

::  He even got to go pick out a new sprayer attachment for the water hose..."I want dat byue one, Mommy!  Let's buy dat byue one for da garden!"

::  Ella just wants down to play every time she's in the garden spot.  If she's being held, she's squealing and squirming to get down in the grass.  She wants to do what Miles is doing!

::  We have great progress....

::  Zucchini, squash, radishes, onions, peppers....

::  Lots of tomato varieties, basil and parsley, beans and cucumbers too!

We're having a blast with our garden and when I told Britton that next year I want LOTS MORE boxes, he lovingly said....

"I knew you would."

Oh your garden looks so amazing! There is something about the garden boxes that I really love! Your plants do all look to be doing great! I love that your babies are right there in the mix!

Ooh Faith! Look at it all grow! I'm seriously jealous... we only did one box last year and decided since we've only got one full summer left here {after this one} that we'll just stick with it.

We just got our stuff in last weekend, but I'm already seeing some lettuce sprouting up. On my way to check out the blog!
