So Emma made us a copy of the recipe Heather has used since Grahmm and Ian (15 & 14) were little. It feels historic and sentimental. Now we'll use this recipe to make play dough at our house. I'm a dork about stuff like that.

I don't remember ever making play dough before.

Miles mixed up all the ingredients (flour, sugar, water, vegetable oil & cream of tartar), and we placed it over a low heat.

It only takes a couple of minutes before it's looking like this....

Then this...

I thought Miles might die waiting the 3-5 minutes it took to make this stuff. He was so ready to "pay Momma!"

He built a "no man" all by himself. Creative little kid.

After he played with it for about 20 minutes, he said "Momma! Tell Ben-Emma 'bout my pay dough!".
So we called them. When Ben came to the phone I heard him say "Hi Miles!".
Miles said "Beeeen! I payin' wit my pay-dough!" Then he ran back across the room to continue playing.
I got him back over to the phone to talk to Emma and he did the exact same thing.
Cute.

can my kid come live at your house for a little bit? Just long enough to experience all the things that I want and wish I had time and energy to do with them. Play dough, cooking lessons, etc, etc, etc. You can send yours over for...chaos...that's what we got at our house! :-)
Did you make the Thomas smock he is wearing? If not where did you get it? Its super cute and I would love one for Caleb but I am not as 'handy' as you are with all your domestic projects!
My mom made it. And I'm trying to get her to make a bunch to start an Etsy shop.... so they may be available in the near future! :)
Well if she decides to sell them I will buy one!
