I gotta say.  I love edible decorations.

These particular decorations are on their last leg, so I decided to try my hand at making apple sauce.

Why?

'Cause I desperately need to go to the grocery store and my 2 year old was dancing around the refrigerator door singing "ap-ple-saaaaaaaaaauce!  ap-ple-saaaaaaaaaauce!".

That's why.

And because it gave me an excuse to use this awesomely awesome $2 garage sale purchase.  (A New-in-the-box-with-a-$55-price-tag-on-it kitchen-aid attachment.)

Turns out, apple sauce isn't at all hard to make and the taste testers raved...
