Over Christmas my sister came to stay with us and brought a couple of friends.
Ella could not have been happier about it.
She has books about princesses and their horses, so obviously she picked one of her newly acquired princess dress-up outfits for her inaugural ride.
{Here, I asked her to give me a thumbs up. She's never done it before, but up that little thumb immediately popped!}
Miles was pretty happy too.
A few laps around the yard may well have been on the top of their Christmas highlights list.
My sister works with a non profit ranch that rescues and rehabilitates horses and uses those horses to minister to children and youth. This guy, Quinn, was one of two horses who were literally picked up by a tornado last May and thrown to the ground. Having lost everything in the storm, Quinn's owner turned their care over to Cargo Ranch. Their story of recovery is quite amazing! You can read more about Cargo Ranch at www.cargoranch.org.
They were so incredibly cute riding in that saddle together.
Kinda hard to believe there will be another one of these little people soon!!

I was going to give you a hard time about being on a horse pregnant and in a skirt-- then on the third photo I realized that your SISTER really looks a lot like you!
What a nice visit!
