We've been reading this cute little book from the library...
Spoiler Alert: At the end of the book, they carve the pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.
So we went and bought a pumpkin since the only one we managed to grow was this big...
Ella LOVES pumpkins.
Look at her shocked face when she looked inside...
Miles was a good worker.
"I'm doing all my jobs!"
"Pumpkins are yucky on the inside, but not on the outside."
Ella went down for a nap and Miles and I finished.
He was very specific about how we should do it. Insisted I had a "white piece of paper".
I think he wanted me to use it as a stencil but just laying it by us seemed to keep him happy enough.
"This is a pumpkin. But now it's going to be a jack-o-lantern!"
"We need a yight in it so we can yight it up!"
But he was not at all satisfied with the small candle I put in the pumpkin. He wanted "a big, giant fire like when we go camping!"
Dear God, please watch over our pumpkin and don't let it turn into a big, giant fire. Amen.
