Sunday night I went to Kmart and bought lights for my Christmas tree.
I haven't bought lights in several years. Last year they were looking kinda shot, so we threw them out with the tree.
I stood in the Christmas tree lighting aisle for a LONG time. How many do I need?
So I bought 5 boxes. 500 lights. Seemed like a lot.
When I got home, Britton asked "How many did you get?".
Me: "5 boxes....500 lights. Do you think that will be enough?"
Him: "Pretty sure you shoulda bought 10 boxes, Crazy. Have you even met you?"
2 completed strands right there folks.
I'll be needing more than the 5 boxes.
Dangit.

Dear Ella,
I'm so sorry that you've been born into a legacy of over-doing the lights on your Christmas tree. My mother taught me. I will teach you.
So I guess I'm not really that sorry.
You should, however, know that - and this is very important, sweetie - when it comes time to buy lights for you Christmas tree, if it's a 6-7 footer with a pretty thick girth, you'll need more than 5 boxes of lights. Probably more like 8-10.
Love Always,
Your Crazy Momma

i'm crazy jealous of your hat making skills.
Looks like we share the same estimation skills. I would have thought 5 boxes would be more than plenty!
Um, love the hat. I'll teach you to crochet if you'll teach me to knit. Deal?
And I would have probably thought that five boxes would have worked too.
