Saturday evening, Miles unexpectedly said "take pitchur, momma", ran over to Ella and sat like this...
Then he ran back to me to view it on camera's LCD screen.
He's never shown interest before. And believe me, he's been photographed billions of times.
After each picture he'd run behind me and look over my shoulder. Then run back to pose again. Too cute.
I was totally unprepared though. It was dark, and I didn't have time to mess with "gear". I just used the standard on-camera-pop-up flash instead of the fancy-schmancy Speedlight 580EX II that my dear, sweet husband bought me last Christmas.
I HATE the on-camera flash and always prefer using the Speedlight to avoid nasty cases of "flash face"...
and the ever dreaded "closed-eye shot"...
