I blame myself really. I have a hard time with accessories. I've had the same earrings in my ears for as long as I can remember. I wear one of 2 necklaces (that I made out of fishing line) 90% of the time (if I wear one at all) and a black Nike watch (dressed up or down). And my hair has been held in a ponytail with a brown ponytail holder for the last 10 1/2 months.
Early last week I was stumbling about the internet looking for inspiration and fun, creative projects. I came across a blog called ElleBows and More. Lisa, of ElleBows, makes handmade hair accessories and sells them through her Etsy shop. If you're not familiar with Etsy, it's a marketplace for all kinds of handmade goods.
Well, it just so happens that Lisa also has an addiction to making cute little dresses for her baby girl. Lucky for me, she recently tried out a new pattern and the pinafore dress turned out a bit too small for her daughter. She decided to give it away to her readers, I entered the contest and the rest, as they say, is history...
Me!? A winner?! I won!? I never win anything! Yay!-Yay!-Yay!
So this is what it looks like...
Cute, huh? I absolutely CANNOT wait to receive it.
Lisa was even sweet enough to throw in a matching bow that can clip in Ella's hair when she's bigger but can be worn on this stretchy headband 'til then.
So now, Ella has a bow.
And because I'm a supporter of stay-at-home-moms AND handmade goods, you should definitely check out Lisa's Etsy shop and keep her in mind for the next time you need a special gift for a little girl.
Thanks, Lisa!
